Primarily responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, activities and ensuring an excellent membership experience through services.
Job Description
In addition to following Peak Performance’s policies and procedures, roles and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Plan and oversee the execution of events, and activities from conception to completion, ensuring all logistical details are managed efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders to secure venues, equipment, permits, and other resources necessary for successful event execution, update clearly and professionally.
- Develop event timelines, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to deadlines and financial targets throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Engage, train, and supervise event staff, volunteers, and support personnel, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to ensure seamless event operations.
- Implement comprehensive risk management strategies, including safety protocols, emergency procedures, and contingency plans, to ensure the well-being of participants and attendees.
- Liaise with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials, advertising campaigns, and social media strategies to maximize event exposure and participation.
- Coordinate participant registration, including online registration systems, participant communication, and on-site registration logistics.
- Oversee on-site event management, including setup, registration, participant services, competition management, and post-event breakdown and cleanup.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to assess event success, gather participant feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement in future events.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to sports event management, and incorporate innovative ideas into event planning and execution.
- Ensure an excellent member experience through providing high-quality services.
- Any other assignments which may be provided from time to time.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND).
- Familiarity with various sports and athletic activities to plan and organize events tailored to the interests and preferences of participants, ensuring a diverse and engaging program.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams to achieve common goals. Capacity to anticipate and address potential challenges or issues that may arise during the planning and execution of events, making quick decisions and finding solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines simultaneously and adjusting plans and strategies as needed to ensure successful outcomes for unforeseen circumstances or last-minute changes during events.
- Competence in using communication tools and digital platforms to streamline planning processes, manage registrations and promote events effectively.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies to identify and address potential safety hazards or security risks during events, ensuring the well-being of participants and attendees.
- Basic understanding or budgeting principles to manage event finances, including allocating resources, tracking expenses, and maximizing revenue opportunities through sponsorships or day pass/entrance fees sales.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the events are well-planned and executed, including scheduling, logistics, participant registration and safety measures.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, when required.
