Job Summary
Responsible for carrying out and supporting day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial transaction processing. Ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial information in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements. Supports budgeting, audit activities, financial analysis, and reporting to maintain the integrity of financial records and support informed business decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting transactions are accurately and timely recorded in accordance with IFRS and Company policies and procedures
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, schedules, and other financial information as required
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Review and process financial transactions, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation, approvals, and compliance with established financial controls
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and review of budgets and financial forecasts
• Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit querie
Job Requirements
• Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent qualification acceptable to the Company
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance, with practical experience in general ledger, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and financial transactions
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and financial reporting requirements, with experience in preparing financial statements
• Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Fully conversant with accounting applications and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Able to work independently, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a team
