Job Title:  Accounts Administrator

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial transaction processing, and preparation of financial information. Assists in maintaining accurate and timely financial records in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Company policies, and procedures. Supports month-end and year-end closing, fixed asset activities, audit requirements, and management reporting.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accounting transactions are accurately and timely recorded in accordance with IFRS and Company policies and procedures
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial schedules and reports
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports, and other financial information as required
• Maintain the fixed asset register and assist with fixed asset verification and documentation
• Identify and assist in resolving discrepancies in financial records and transactions
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing required schedules, documentation, and information
• Liaise with other departments, vendors, and auditors to obtain and provide financial information as required

 

Job Requirements

• Recognised Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, or equivalent qualification acceptable to the Company
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance-related functions
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and financial reporting requirements, including IFRS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems will be an added advantage
• Good written and spoken English communication skills, with tact and professionalism
• Good numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team
