Job Title: Accounts Officer

The Accounts Officer will provide essential support to the Finance Manager in managing the company’s financial and accounting functions. This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of full set accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and tax regulations. The incumbent will maintain accurate financial records and assist with audit preparations, contributing to the smooth and effective financial operations of the company.
Job Description

Assist in preparing complete financial and management accounts, including annual budgets.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare cash flow statements and projections.

Ensure compliance with statutory accounting requirements and timely tax filings.

Input and maintain accurate financial data in the accounting system (GL, AR, AP).

Support procurement financial processes such as purchase orders and payment vouchers.

Organize and maintain proper filing of financial documents for ease of tracking.

Assist with audit preparations and liaise with auditors and tax agents as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Competencies
Education

Higher National Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any relevant field.

Applicants with a Professional Qualification such as CAT or ACCA will be an added advantage.

Minimum of two (2) years working experience in Financial Management, Procurement, or other related fields.

Experience in handling full sets of accounts is an added advantage.
