Job Title:  Assistant Strategic Projects Manager

Job Purpose

Drive successful end-to-end delivery of company projects by ensuring effective planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring across all departments. Responsible for maintaining project timelines, budgets, risks, and quality standards while supporting stakeholders to achieve the Company’s strategic objectives.

Main Outcome / Key Results

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, efficient, and quality delivery of all assigned projects.

  • Develop and maintain structured project plans, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and company priorities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support the Line Manager in driving strategic project initiatives, reporting progress, risks, and key decisions to management.

Process/ Technical Functions and Responsibility

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Manage day-to-day execution of projects to ensure timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular stakeholder updates, escalate risks early, and propose solutions.
  • Maintain customer communication on deliverables, specifications, and progress.
  • Coordinate QC checks, trials, and final delivery to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and improve future execution.

Process Improvement & Risk Management

  • Identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and support implementation of refined project workflows.
  • Analyse project performance data to highlight trends, delays, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a project risk register and ensure mitigation plans are executed.
  • Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, ISO standards, and security protocols for high-sensitivity projects.

Team Leadership & Development Support

  • Coach and guide team members involved in project tasks, promoting best practices.
  • Support Line Manager in developing a project management framework that enhances speed, quality, and consistency.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Promote continuous learning and development for self and team.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience, or equivalent.
