Job Title: Business Development Manager

Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is a leadership role responsible for formulating and executing the company’s strategic business growth initiatives. This role oversees the identification, development, and conversion of new business opportunities, while strengthening client relationships and enhancing the company’s market presence. The Business Development Manager provides leadership and direction to the Business Development Department, ensuring alignment with company’s long-term strategic objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve corporate business development goals.
- Identify high-value business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments for expansion.
- Supervise and mentor the Business Development team to ensure performance targets and KPIs are met.
- Analyse industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to inform strategic planning.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and government bodies.
- Represent the company at industry events, forums, and negotiations to enhance visibility and drive engagement.
- Drive the preparation and presentation of compelling business proposals, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal and financial standards.
- Monitor and report on business performance metrics, providing actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and corporate teams to align business growth initiatives.

Education, Professional Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) or related maritime field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in business development, commercial management or strategic planning, preferably in maritime, shipping, oil & gas industry, logistics or marine support services.
- Demonstrated success in developing new markets and exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong experience in B2B sales and corporate negotiations.
