Job Summary

To provide overall leadership and executive accountability for BELTS by driving the implementation of Board-approved strategy, ensuring sustainable business performance, maintaining sound governance and controls, and representing the Company with key stakeholders. Sets the tone for a high-performing, ethical and resilient organisational culture.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of BELTS’ corporate strategy, business plan and enterprise priorities, ensuring alignment with the direction and expectations of the Board.
  • Owns the Company’s overall financial, commercial and operational performance, including sustainable growth, working capital and cash management, resource optimisation and achievement of approved business objectives.
  • Lead, align and hold the Senior Management Team accountable for the effective delivery of organisational priorities, performance targets and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintain effective accountability to the Board through timely and accurate reporting, implementation of Board decisions and appropriate escalation of reserved, exceptional or material matters.
  • Ensure sound corporate governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, ethical conduct and effective internal controls across the Company.
  • Oversight of HSSE performance, compliance with regulatory regimes and third-party certifications and accreditations.
  • Oversees major investments, commercial commitments, organisational changes and resource decisions in accordance with approved delegated authority.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with shareholders, Government, customers, regulators, business partners and other key stakeholders, and represent BELTS on significant corporate and strategic matters.
  • Champion organisational capability, leadership development, talent management and succession planning to ensure readiness and continuity for critical and senior roles.
  • Drive organisational improvement, transformation, digitalisation initiatives and operational effectiveness to ensure BELTS remains responsive to changing business, customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate business continuity, crisis management and organisational resilience arrangements are maintained.
  • Set the tone for ethical conduct, safety, accountability, collaboration and a high-performance organisational culture.
  • Perform such other executive responsibilities as may be assigned by the Board in accordance with the Company’s governance framework.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Law, Public Administration or another discipline relevant to the Company’s business.
  • A relevant postgraduate or professional qualification would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience, including substantial senior executive leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic leadership, business and financial performance, governance, people leadership and stakeholder management.
  • Experience within a Government-linked, regulated, engineering, logistics, defence/security, training or similarly complex operating environment would be an advantage.
