Job Description

Responsible in designing, testing, integrating and optimising the core network infrastructure and capabilities for both fixed and mobile services.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Participate in the design and architecture of the core network infrastructure including the selection of network element, protocols and technologies
• Involved in the development, testing of the engineering standards in line with the core network architecture
• Define and maintain engineering standards and support in validation of HLD (High Level Design), LLD (Low Level Design), UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ATP (Acceptance Test Plan) for projects within strategy and planning
• Support in offering strategic planning or initiative to enhance core network capabilities or changes in the network requirements
• Responsible to plan, integrate and perform ATP (Acceptance Test Plan), UAT (User Acceptance Testing), SIT (System Integration Testing). This is not only limited to core network and application related requests but also project design and integration
• Provide 3rd line support to Network Operations including support for implementing interim solution or feasibility study to problems and approach for a robust core network architecture
• Develop, design and testing of commercial product request of standard and non- standard aligning with the service portfolio and product roadmap
• Document as-is configurations and developing a reference library of core nodes that contains config files, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), troubleshooting guides, diagrams and relevant information
• Support operations by creating MOPs (Method of Procedures) when implementing changes, adding new service or nodes through the integration process or executing specific network tasks
• Responsible in the hand over transition to the operations team and ensure newly added components or services are managed effectively in the operational phase
• Require understanding in IP design such as subnetting and addressing, planning IP address assignments, routing protocols and NAT (Network Address Translation) techniques
• Adhere to UNN Health and Safety Policy and Procedures at all times, demonstrating a proactive approach by promptly intervening in the event of any observed unsafe actions or behaviours

• Telecommunications standards such as 3GPP    
• Product development & product system    
• Fixed and Mobile core network planning
• Technology analysis and assessment of impact    
• Network engineering and planning    

Area and Years of Experience

• Technical Roles in Network Operator or Equipment Supplier with 5 years of experience
• Developing Network Erchitectures or similar with 3 years of experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
