Job Description

This role focuses on Red Teaming activities in strengthening an organization's security posture by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential threats and vulnerabilities. The primary objective of this role is to simulate real-world cyber-attacks in a controlled and ethical manner to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures, uncover hidden weaknesses, and enhance the organization's ability to detect, respond to, and recover from sophisticated cyber threats.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Plans and executes comprehensive penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in the organization's systems, networks, and applications
• Utilizes both automated tools and manual techniques to simulate sophisticated attack vectors
• Develops and maintains detailed test plans and methodologies by performing reconnaissance to gather intelligence on target systems
• Designs and implements realistic attack simulations that mimic the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of potential adversaries
• Creates detailed threat models based on current threat intelligence
• Proactively discovers security weaknesses across the organization's infrastructure
• Assesses the severity and potential impact of identified vulnerabilities
• Ensures any technologies under operation unit are up and running without any interruptions
• Assesses the effectiveness of the organization's security measures in detecting and preventing attacks
• Provides insights into the strengths and weaknesses of current security controls
• Offers strategic and tactical recommendations to enhance the organization's security posture
• Collaborates with the Blue Team (defensive security team) to improve the organization's incident response strategies
• Continuously updates knowledge of the latest cyber threats, attack methodologies, and security technologies
• Provides recommendation on the security architecture design according to cyber security practices
• Tracks and communicates the effectiveness of red teaming efforts in enhancing the organization's security

Area and Years of Experience

• Understanding of red teaming methodologies and tactics used by real-world threat actors is crucial for planning and executing realistic attack simulations with 6 years of experience
• Solid experience in conducting ethical hacking and penetration testing is essential, which includes a deep understanding of various attack vectors, exploitation techniques, and vulnerability assessment methodologies with 6 years of experience
• Basic knowledge of reverse engineering techniques and tools that are beneficial for analyzing malware samples and understanding the inner workings of software vulnerabilities with 6 years of experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
