Job Description

Responsible for the operation and implementation of policy, standard procedures and programs related to the maintenance and upkeep of a building or facility, ensuring it remains clean, functional, and safe by managing repairs, coordinating with vendors, scheduling regular maintenance to maintain a positive working environment. Supports line manager on function-related activities and decisions collaborating across internal functions/departments.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Develops & implements preventive maintenance schedules
  • Troubleshoots & resolves issues using technical expertise
  • Conducts regular building inspections to identify hazards & recommend fixes
  • Monitors contractors for monthly infrastructure & facility maintenance
  • Assists Line Manager (LM) on annual budget preparation & control
  • Provides support by taking on additional tasks & covering for the LM when required
  • Helps develop & implement policies, procedures & controls
  • Prepares facility maintenance, project, & budget reports to the LM
  • Ensures compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, & environmental standards
  • Prepares BoQ, BoM, drawings & tender documents
  • Manages equipment, furniture, appliance & office supply needs
  • Oversees vendors & contractors to ensure timely work completion
  • Contributes to long-term plans for facility maintenances, upgrade & improvements plans

Area and Years of Experience

  • Facility Management or similar with 3 years of experience
  • Project Management with 2 years of experience

Education

Higher National Diploma in Building Services, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, Facility Management or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
