The Finance Assistant supports the Finance function in maintaining accurate financial records relating to company assets and inventory. In this apprenticeship, you will primarily assist with asset and inventory accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. This is a support role designed to give you practical exposure to financial operations under the supervision of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Accounting: Assist in physically tagging new assets, updating the asset register with photos/details, and tracking movements (transfers or disposals) to ensure our records are always current.

Inventory Accounting: Participate in periodic physical stock counts and help reconcile these figures against the accounting system to identify any discrepancies or missing items.

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Support the team in preparing monthly inventory reports and asset schedules, performing data checks and reconcilliations according to establish procedures.

Internal Controls and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP) and accounting standards while maintaining organized documentation to ensure full readiness for internal and external audits.

Compliance: Learn to apply company financial policies to daily tasks, ensuring all data entry and record-keeping meets our strict internal standards.

Relevant Experiences & Qualifications
- Applicable as an i-Ready candidate from Pusat Pekerjaan Brunei (JobCentre Brunei).

HND, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
