Unified Smart Metering Services Sdn Bhd (“USMS”) is a Government-linked company responsible for the provision of smart metering services including the procurement and supply of smart meters and the design, build, management, operation and maintenance of the Unified Smart Metering Platform. We are looking for a highly qualified professional to fill the Finance Manager position.
Position Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the organisation’s financial operations. This role provides strategic financial leadership through reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and policy development, while guiding and supporting the finance team to drive informed decision-making and long-term financial stability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS (monthly, quarterly, and annually), including management reports with analysis and commentary.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to align with organisational goals.

Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to safeguard financial stability.

Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and regulators to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and audits.

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Partner with other departments to evaluate financial performance, support projects, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Oversee daily finance operations, including cash handling, revenue management, accounts payable, billing, and quotations.

Support strategic initiatives such as investment planning, cost optimisation, and the preparation of the annual 5-year business plan.

Address financial inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain awareness of financial regulations and best practices.

Build and maintain strong relationships with utility providers, vendors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

Drive cost savings, efficiency improvements, and support the achievement of annual revenue targets.

Promote teamwork and cross-functional collaboration across the company.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related financial qualification with 4 years relevant working experience; or
- Higher National Diploma / Advanced Diploma with 10 years relevant working experience.
