Job Title:  Head of Business Development

Job Summary

The Head of Business Development is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth and enhanced brand positioning. This leadership role involves overseeing the commercial strategy, marketing operations and customer engagement efforts to ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives. The incumbent will lead a cross-functional team, leveraging data driven insights to optimize performance, identify new market opportunities and enhance customer experiences.

 

This role will oversee 3 business units: Sales, Product Development and Marketing & Communications.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement integrated commercial and marketing strategies that align with the company’s vision and growth targets.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Enhance brand visibility and reputation through effective marketing campaigns, public relations and digital initiatives.
  • Evaluate and adjust sales strategies in response to market conditions and performance metrics.
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure success and optimize marketing efforts using data analytics to inform decision making.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance team, fostering a culture of collaborations, innovations and accountability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is required.
  • Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, and communications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or department head role.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial success and leading cross-functional teams
