Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd is a holding company of the Government of Brunei Darussalam established to be the strategic owner of Brunei’s Government Linked Companies (GLCs). We are looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified candidates to fill an HR leadership role within the DA Group of Companies in the Digital Solutions, ICT and Telecommunications Sector.

Purpose of Role

Responsible for determining and providing leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organisation. Provide strategic leadership by articulating Human Resource needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders and to the board of directors. Develop and lead the HR team and its functions to innovate and support operational needs of the business.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Responsible to lead, strategise and review the effectiveness of the Company's human resources function and performance.

 

  • Acts as the strategic partner to develop the Company's plans and programs, and to provide guidance on approaches that focuses on impact on people.

 

  • Identify and translate the budget, strategic and tactical plans into HR strategic and operational goals. 

 

  • Directs recruitment strategies, implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organisation, in accordance to the strategic workforce plans.

 

  • Leads and provides guidance on job evaluation, job assessment and job grading exercises to ensure jobs within the Company remain current and appropriate to the business needs. 

 

  • Establish and implement the appropriate reward schemes in line with benchmarking conducted both locally and regionally and ensure overall strategic sustainability of the organisation. 

 

  • Develop, enforce and regularly update appropriate policies, procedures and frameworks, including the learning and development framework, retention plan, strategic workforce planning, succession planning and performance management, among others. 

 

  • Leads the company-wide engagement activities, including distribution and analysis of surveys, pulse checks and follow-up action, where required. 

 

  • Leads and guides the HR strategic operations (Business Partners) in the development and effective delivery of HR support to the business operations. 

 

  • Coach and mentor subordinates which contributes to their personal and professional development. 

 

  • Acts as the custodian of the values and cultural development of the organisation and collaborates with the Change Manager in the transformation needs by providing adequate resources and support.

•    Ability to effectively manage and delegate diverse groups of employees and multiple priorities. 


•    Strong communication and problem-solving skills. 


•    Experience in turnaround or transformation management. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Minimum 12 to 15 years working experience in HR or other management roles. Degree or Masters in Social Sciences or related area is required and having at least a Level 5 CIPD or MBA is preferred. Relevant experience in the Digital Solutions, ICT and/or Telecommunications industry would be an advantage.
