Job Summary
The Head of Warehouse & Distribution Unit is responsible for leading and managing end-to-end warehouse operations, including inventory management, distribution, pre-delivery, and post-delivery activities. The role ensures that all processes are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements such as GDP and GSP. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely stock availability, quality control, effective delivery execution, and proper handling of post-delivery matters such as discrepancies, returns, and customer feedback. The role also includes supervising cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement within the unit.

Oversee the full operations of the Warehouse & Distribution Unit, including inventory, pre-delivery checks, and post-delivery follow-ups.

Ensure the proper receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of goods in line with GDP and GSP requirements.

Manage inventory control activities, including cycle counts, stock reconciliation, movement tracking, and reporting.

Supervise the pre-delivery process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality of outgoing items.

Coordinate closely with Procurement, Operations, and other relevant units to ensure stock availability and fulfillment.

Manage post-delivery processes, including returns, delivery discrepancies, and feedback resolution.

Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for warehouse, inventory, delivery, and post-delivery workflows.

Lead, train, and monitor the performance of warehouse and inventory staff to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Optimize layout, storage systems, and material handling procedures to improve space utilization and efficiency.

Collaborate with logistics and transport providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Monitor operational KPIs and prepare regular reports on stock movement, delivery performance, and unit effectiveness.

Support internal and external audits and ensure full compliance with regulatory and company policies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse operations and customer service responsiveness post-delivery.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 6–8 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Proven track record in managing pre-delivery, delivery, and post-delivery workflows.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Integrated Warehouse Management Systems (IWMS).

Familiarity or working experience with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) and GSP (Good Storage Practice) standards is required or considered an added advantage.

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or handling medical-related products is an added advantage.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, optimize warehouse functions, and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
