Job Title:  Inspector, Facilities Operations

Job Description

Responsible for assisting the supervisor in carrying out minor repair and rectification works, monitoring on-site maintenance, repairs, and minor works to ensure workmanship quality, compliance with approved specifications, and adherence to HSSE requirements through consistent inspections, early identification, and contractor guidance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Conduct scheduled inspections of common areas, buildings, infrastructure, landscaping, roads, drains, walkways, and estate facilities using approved checklists, ensuring overall condition and compliance.
  2. Carry out minor repair and rectification works, including M&E tasks, plumbing repairs, painting, and carpentry works, in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.
  3. Inspect ongoing maintenance, repair, and minor project works to verify quality, workmanship, and alignment with approved specifications, drawings, and estate standards.
  4. Monitor contractor activities on-site to ensure compliance with approved work practices, schedules, and service requirements.
  5. Ensure contractors adhere to HSSE requirements, including PPE usage, permits, toolbox talks, and safe work procedures.
  6. Identify, document, and report defects, wear and tear, poor workmanship, safety hazards, and non-compliant works requiring attention.
  7. Perform quality and condition inspections of prepared units, mock-ups, emergency works, vacant units, and completed works prior to handover or closure.
  8. Verify that rectification, rework, and corrective actions are properly completed before work orders are closed.
  9. Inspect fire safety provisions, emergency access routes, statutory compliance items, and safety signage to support regulatory requirements.
  10. Monitor housekeeping standards and environmental risks to prevent unsafe conditions such as slips, trips, falls, or operational hazards.
  11. Support tracking of work orders, maintenance schedules, outstanding issues, and follow-up inspections, coordinating with administrators and estate executives to ensure timely completion of actions.
  12. Perform any additional duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Education

Level of Qualification: National Diploma

Major: Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Facilities, Estate Management, Built Environment or other related.

Preferred Professional Certification: Built Environment Custodian Skills Certificate or other related.
