Job Title: Junior ARED Associate (i-Ready)

Job Summary
The objective of this position is to support the implementation of Workplace Health and Safety (“WHS”) practices in the Administration and Real Estate Department (“ARED”).
The apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience, exposure to real-world projects, and the opportunity to develop professional skills in a dynamic work environment.
This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, advocating for a safe work environment, and making sure that day-to-day WHS functions are efficient through ongoing monitoring, careful documentation, and collaborative support. Work closely with the Head of Department and Workplace Health and Safety Unit to ensure effective implementation of HSE processes, programs and initiatives for the workplace.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of HSE programs and initiatives.
- Assist in conducting workplace inspections and safety audits.
- Help in identifying and reporting potential hazards or unsafe practices.
- Participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the organisation.
- Assist in ensuring compliance of Workplace, Health and Safety practices including monitoring equipment and facilities, identifying any potential workplace hazards through comprehensive risk assessments, reporting any issues or failures and conducting incident investigations when required.
Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Environmental Studies/Science, Environmental Management, or related fields.
- Applicants must be registered and have an active profile in JobCentre Brunei.
- Applicants with exposure to HSE related matters and related certifications (i.e. IOSH) would be an added advantage.
Key Competencies and Skills required
- Precision in documenting safety processes, incident reports, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Work with accuracy and attention to details.
- Familiar with local environmental regulations, building codes and occupational safety standards.
- Possess knowledge in regulatory, risk assessment, incident investigation and reporting.
