Job Title:  Learning Business Partner

Position Overview

To provide expertise to facilitate a Learning and Development solution to the business. Continuously improving processes and practices which facilitate and encourage blended learning and self-owned development; as well as core skills development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolve our L&D provision; building on the blended learning approach and engaging with the organisation to look at development of its workforce; and to encourage individuals to self-develop
  • Create and curate development content that is accessible, relevant, and engaging.
  • Able to develop core skills development and deliver face to face or virtually; but also to work with ‘technical experts’ to assist them in developing learning solutions that are engaging; practical, relevant and meet the needs of learners.
  • Utilise L&D best practice to find ways to improve our L&D approaches / To keep up to date with emerging L&D trends and find ways to implement and share best practice with colleagues and the organisation.
  • Being creative with learning solutions to maximise the use of the L&D budget and bring fresh thinking to L&D needs.
  • Deal with enquiries for development, ensuring best solution benefiting organisation and individual is achieved, within the constraints of budget. Designing and implementing a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials.
  • Help business/operation team in training associates on process, services.
  • To ensure effective processes are in place to identify undertake regular training needs analysis
  • To ensure training materials issued are accurate, relevant, and quality controlled;
  • To regularly review development offering. Measure and evaluate impact of learning solutions to inform future activity and demonstrate value for money Ensuring course are relevant and support the council’s needs.
  • To provide expert and professional advice on L&D requirements, solutioning with managers and workforce to grow capability.
  • Any other duties assigned.
