Job Description
Responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters. The role is expected to be well versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance; and possess high ethical standards and work diligently to complete his/her duties while keeping in mind the objectives of the business.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a robust risk management and establish a risk register to track and monitor identified risks and their mitigation progress.
2. Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
3. Responsible for drafting and revising range of company policies where applicable including working and/or obtaining.
4. Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
5. Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
6. Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance.
7. Stay up to date with internal standards and business goals.
8. Regularly assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
9. Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
10. Assist business lines in documenting the controls related to all relevant risk, compliance with laws and regulations, established compliance programs, internal controls and operational processes.
11. Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to the executive team.
12. Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.

Preferred Professional Certification - Bar Vocational Course / Certified Compliance Professional
