As a Merchant Acquisition Executive in the iReady program you’ll learn the ins and outs of identifying, onboarding, and nurturing merchant partnerships while working closely with experienced professionals. This is your opportunity to develop key skills in sales, negotiation, and relationship management in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Merchant Acquisition: Learn how to identify, approach, and onboard new merchants to expand the company’s merchant network.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand market trends, merchant needs, and business challenges.
  • Sales Strategy: Support the development and execution of effective sales strategies to meet acquisition goals.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong connections with merchants and gain insights into fostering long-term business partnerships.
  • Negotiation Skills: Observe and participate in contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and agreement structuring.
  • Onboarding Process: Assist in onboarding new merchants, including integrating payment solutions and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams to deliver seamless services to merchants.
  • Performance Tracking: Learn how to track acquisition metrics and contribute to reporting insights for continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Policies: Gain an understanding of regulatory requirements and company policies related to merchant agreements.

Relevant Experiences & Qualifications

 

  • Recently completed an HND or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field.
  • An interest in sales, business development, fintech, or e-commerce - previous experience is a plus but not required!
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop skills in merchant acquisition.
