Key Responsibilities

 

As a Network Support Analyst, you will take ownership of maintaining a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment. Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities that ensure the seamless operations, including:

 

Active Directory Management

  • Administer and maintain user accounts in Active Directory (AD), including creating, modifying, and disabling accounts as required.
  • Implement and manage group policies to enforce consistent user permissions and enhance security.
  • Conduct AD audits to ensure compliance with organisational policies and industry best practices.

 

Endpoint Management

  • Configure and oversee desktop, laptop, and mobile devices to meet security and performance standards.
  • Manage the deployment of software updates, patches, and applications to ensure all systems are current and secure.
  • Proactively monitor device health, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.

 

Cloud Services Support

  • Assist in managing cloud infrastructure to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
  • Support the configuration and management of Okta for single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Collaborate with the cloud team to implement security best practices and maintain the integrity of cloud-based systems.

 

Network Support

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including VPN configuration and connectivity challenges.
  • Assist in configuring and managing Cisco Meraki devices, such as routers, switches, and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and work proactively to ensure reliable access for all users.

 

Security Management

  • Support the management of antivirus and endpoint protection solutions to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in configuring and managing Fortigate firewalls to protect the network from external threats.
  • Participate in security audits and contribute to developing policies that strengthen overall network security.

 

Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Utilise monitoring tools to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues to maintain high availability and performance across systems.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed IT documentation, including system configurations and troubleshooting guides.

 

Site Support and Implementation

  • Provide on-site support for new system implementations, ensuring smooth deployment and functionality.
  • Collaborate with project teams during site audits and technology upgrades to ensure successful execution.
  • Assist staff with training and adoption of new technologies to enhance user experience and efficiency.

 

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with IT team members to ensure cohesive operations and a high standard of service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with staff when addressing technical issues, providing clear explanations and solutions.

Skills & Competencies

 

Key qualifications and skills include:

 

IT Infrastructure Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, support processes, and best practices.

 

Technical Proficiency

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, AWS, Okta, and endpoint management tools is highly desirable.

 

Networking Expertise

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, with hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco Meraki devices.

 

Firewall Management

  • Understanding of firewall management, particularly with Fortigate products, and the ability to implement security protocols effectively.

 

Troubleshooting Skills

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot network and VPN issues using a methodical and efficient problem-solving approach.

 

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

  • A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and improving existing processes, ensuring you stay ahead in a dynamic digital landscape.

Relevant Experiences & Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in IT support or a related role is advantageous but not required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, AWS, Cisco) are considered a significant advantage and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
