Job Description

The OCS Specialist as an application administrator is responsible for maintaining the full life cycle of prepaid suite of applications such as online charging system, product catalog, and voucher management system. The administrator plans, designs, implements, updates, tunes and supports the respective applications in compliance with the UNN policies and guidelines and in line with industry best practices.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Proactively assists in defining the strategic direction for future projects
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders of prepaid billing, performs analysis, make corrections, reviews, updates rates and provides end-to-end support for rectification
  • Works with SalesCo and internal operations teams on online charging and voucher management process related to either online charging input or output, reconciles data and resolves billing disputes
  • Exercises strong technical and analytical skills in independently resolving matters of moderate complexity
  • Proposes alternatives to eliminate errors, evaluates impact of alternatives and makes critical decisions
  • Works closely with vendors to tune and troubleshoot problems
  • Plans, coordinates, tests and communicates changes, upgrades/maintenance schedules, new services, ensuring business operations will operate correctly in current and future environments
  • Provides contact point/knowledge base for customer managers, in all aspects for administration and support as required
  • Oversees applications for training programs and consultancy
  • Responds to requests received in a timely and accurate manner
  • Strictly follows the UNN business processes

Competencies

  • Understanding OSS/BSS/ESS Application Architecture and Design based on eTOM standards
  • Experience in using project management tools and development methods such as Microsoft Project, Visio and other Agile methodology
  • SQL Scripting
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution Skills
  • Vendor Management
  • CDR/EDR/Prepaid System Skills
  • Written and Spoken English

Area and Years of Experience

  • Complex OSS/BSS/ESS solutions in a national carrier environment with 3 years of experience
  • System Analyst/Programmer/Application Management with 3 years of experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
