Job Summary

 

The Postman role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and secure delivery of mail and other postal items to designated addresses within an assigned route. This role ensures high standards of customer service and operational compliance while representing PosBru in the community.

This position is for several PosBru branches within Brunei Darussalam. 

Job Description

  • Sort, sequence, and prepare mail and postal items for daily delivery according to assigned routes.
  • Deliver mail and postal items to residential and business addresses in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Collect signatures and obtain proof of delivery as required for registered, tracked, or premium items.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with customers, addressing basic inquiries and accepting outgoing mail.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, report undeliverable items, and return items to the post office as per procedures.
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all mail and postal items in custody.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on delivery vehicle or equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and PosBru operational policies.
  • Assist with postal counter duties or sorting operations as needed during peak periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum O-Level education or equivalent. 
  • Valid driver’s license (1 and 3) with a clean driving record.
  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Previous experience in delivery, logistics, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate in Malay and English.
