Job Description
Oversees the financial and operational aspects of a company’s sales activities including budgeting, financial planning, performance monitoring, and reporting. They focus on cost control, profitability, risk management, and compliance while supporting strategic sales initiatives. The role involves analyzing sales expenses, managing inventory levels, overseeing sales incentive programs, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in sales operations.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Provides support in developing process, procedures and controls for product and services offered
- Produces accurate and timely revenue and cost of sales reports for Head of Controlling (HoC) review before submission to shareholder and SMT
- Provides management with in-depth analysis for use in making financial projections, business decisions and controlling expenditures
- Manages the production of Business Plans / budgeting by collecting and analysing information from the functional departments
- Analyses variances and suggests action to improve profitability from management's approval
- Monitors full product life cycle, sales margin trends and controls to ensure that business risk and opportunity are reflected in financial forecasts
- Collaborates and coordinates with Commercial Domain to ensure solid revenue controls
- Supports month and year end closing process activities
- Performs financial analysis of business cases with recommendation for upcoming and existing product and service offered to ensure sustainability and maintain control on return of investment measurement
- Performs periodic evaluations of service costing for price index purposes
- Coordinates the preparation of the corporate annual financial report
- Coordinates the provision of information to external auditors for the annual financial audit
- Supports the finance team in determining data sources and collects the data needed for all ad-hoc reports requested by management or external parties
- Ensures financial and commercial information are kept strictly confidential to maintain operation integrity
- Ensures company complies in accordance to International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and up to date tax filing
- In the absence of the Controlling Manager, the Sales Controller will report to Head of Controlling, then CFO and/or CEO depending on the organization reporting policies
Competencies
- Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Monthly closure, consolidation of actual results and variance analysis
- Creating regular reporting with clear commentaries and analysis
- Accounting (IFRS)
- Corporate Finance
- Costing (preferably in Telco sector)
- Familiarity with Telco business
Area and Years of Experience
- Telcommunication business with 5 years of experience
- ERP System with 2 years of experience
- Accounting and/or controlling functions with 2 years of hands-on experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Controlling, Accounting or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
