Job Summary

The Senior IT Associate, Network and Infrastructure supports the optimal performance, stability, and security of PosBru's network and IT infrastructure. The role assists in the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of network systems, servers, cloud services, and related infrastructure components, while serving as a supporting focal point for Level 1 and Level 2 support for network and infrastructure-related issues across all PosBru locations, including post office branches.

The role also provides technical troubleshooting assistance, supports network monitoring and user access management, and coordinates with vendors and stakeholders as needed to support operational efficiency and PosBru's overall IT objectives.

Job Description

The Senior IT Associate, Network & Infrastructure is responsible for supporting day-to-day network and IT infrastructure operations, with a primary focus on providing Level 1/2 support for network, connectivity, infrastructure, and IT-related issues across PosBru locations, including post office branches and head office.

The role involves assisting with the setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network and infrastructure equipment, including switches, access points, routers, servers, and end-user connectivity. It also includes monitoring network and infrastructure performance, responding to incidents, diagnosing basic technical issues, and escalating complex problems to the appropriate technical teams or vendors as required.

In addition, the role supports infrastructure maintenance, IT asset tracking, documentation, backup monitoring, and routine operational checks. The role also provides support across other Technology domains and IT operations when required, ensuring effective coordination, knowledge sharing, and continuity of IT services.

Furthermore, the role contributes to PosBru’s IT objectives by supporting infrastructure deployments and improvements, maintaining reliable network and IT services, and providing timely technical support to end users and branches.

Minimum Requirements

• Higher National Diploma in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Diploma with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Good understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, and firewall concepts.
• Good knowledge of network and infrastructure equipment, including switches, routers, access points, servers, and related devices.
• Ability to perform basic network and infrastructure troubleshooting, including connectivity, device, and network access issues.
• Good understanding of server, cloud, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure is an advantage.
• Good understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, backup, and routine maintenance activities is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with users, vendors, and technical teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Technology domains and support day-to-day operational and project activities.
