Job Title:  Short Term Contract Finance Assistant

Location: 

Bandar Seri Begawan , Brunei-M, Brunei Darussalam

Job Purpose

Provide essential support to finance department by handling various administrative and accounting tasks. This role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting with financial analysis.

Main Outcome / Key Results

  1. Efficient and organised maintenance of finance and accounting records
  2. Accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and data
  3. Provision of administrative support to the finance team

Process / Technical Function and Responsibility

  1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  2. Process invoices, accounts payable reconciliation, payments, and other financial transactions and ensure all are properly documented
  3. Support month end and year end financial closing process
  4. Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients and internal staff
  5. Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information
  6. Receives daily collection and ensure the safekeeping
  7. Ensures timely deposit/bank in of cash/cheques
  8. Monitors and follows up on all receivables
  9. Support audits and implement audit recommendations
  10. Any other tasks deemed appropriate by Line Manager/Management

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced Diploma or High National Diploma in Finance and Accounting with minimum 1 year experience or related field.
  • Basic or Foundation Certificate in Accounting & Finance is preferred
