Job Title:  Team Lead, Projects

Job Description

Responsible to lead and coordinates the day-to-day delivery of assigned projects or project workstreams. Allocates work, reviews team outputs, monitors progress and provides technical and operational guidance to ensure activities meet approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, contractual and regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Lead day-to-day execution of assigned projects/workstreams and translate management priorities into clear team activities and deliverables.
  2. Allocate and coordinate work among team members and monitor completion against agreed timelines and standards.
  3. Review project documentation and team outputs including schedules, tender/procurement documents, cost information, reports, inspections, quality records and contract-related submissions.
  4. Monitor progress, cost, quality, HSE, risk and site matters and initiate routine corrective actions within delegated authority.
  5. Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders on operational project matters.
  6. Lead follow-up on project issues, defects, non-conformances, actions and documentation to support timely closure.
  7. Provide technical and operational guidance, coaching and feedback to team members and support capability development.
  8. Identify and escalate significant deviations, risks, resource constraints and decisions to the Assistant Manager with recommended actions.
  9. Ensure project records and reports are accurate, complete and submitted on time.
  10. Perform any additional duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Education

Level of Qualification: Bachelor's Degree 

Major: Engineering, Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or other related fields.

Preferred Professional Certification: Relevant professional / project / quality certification (e.g. PMP, professional engineering/QS membership, QA/QC or Quality Audit certification) 

Area of Experience

  • Project Management / Project Delivery - 5 years or above
  • Building construction, Refurbishment and/or Development Projects - 2 years or above
  • Project Team / Workstream coordination - 2 years or above
