Job Title:  Team Lead, Technical & Upgrading Project

Job Description

Responsible for supporting the TUP Manager in leading technical operations, project delivery, and team performance. The role provides technical leadership and analysis across cross-functional departments, offering engineering expertise to support decision making, problem solving, and project implementation. The Team Lead supervises and develops team members, ensures compliance with engineering standards and regulations, oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, and drives continuous improvement, sustainability initiatives, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Support the TUP Manager in technical investigations, problem resolutions and strategic decision making.
  2. Provide technical leadership and governance for the review of designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure regulatory compliance and constructability.
  3. Develop, monitor and maintain project plans, schedules and research allocations.
  4. To lead, supervise, mentor, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  5. Conduct regular team meetings, monitor progress and address project implementation issues.
  6. Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering and project implementation issues.
  7. Recommend maintenance strategies, asset renewal plans, and lifecycle management initiatives to improve building performance.
  8. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, engineering solutions, and best practices for facility improvement and sustainability.
  9. To support TUP Manager with technical assessments and feasibility studies.
  10. Monitor project budgets, costs, resource utilization, and project performance to ensure efficient delivery.
  11. Ensure all technical work quality and performance requirements as per ISO standards.
  12. To lead the implementation and monitoring of building compliance requirements.
  13. Develop and drive sustainability strategies and initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of energy and resource efficiency measures.
  14. To coordinate with consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  15. To prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and recommendations to the TUP Manager and senior management.
  16. Perform any additional duties assigned by the line supervisor.

Education

Level of Qualification: Bachelors Degree

Major: Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Building Services, Facilities Management or other related field.

Preferred Professional Certification: Green Building Certification, E01, E02, M01, M02 or other related.

Area of Experience

  • Building services engineering, technical reviews, design governance - 5 years or above
  • Planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, project delivery - 5 years or above
  • Energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, facility improvements - 2 years or above
  • Leading, coaching, mentoring, and performance management - 2 years or above
  • Technical investigations, feasibility studies, problem solving - 5 years or above
