Job Description

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks within a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role involves operating equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality standards while working collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Receives, unloads, and inspects incoming shipments to verify quantity and quality against documentation
  • Retrieves and packs materials for distribution based on requests
  • Operates warehouse equipment such as forklifts safely, etc. efficiently
  • Conducts inventory counts and reconciliations to ensure accuracy in stock levels
  • Reports discrepancies, damages, or shortages to Inventory & Warehouse Manager promptly
  • Assists in maintaining organized storage areas for optimal space utilization and easy access
  • Performs routine checks on warehouse equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition, and reports any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team for timely resolution
  • Uses ERP system to update stock movements and generate reports
  • Complies with UNN policies and industry regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable
  • Coordinates with team members and manager to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily operational targets
  • Communicates effectively regarding delays, issues, or process improvements
  • Identifies non-moving materials for disposal and ensures all disposal activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Inspects incoming materials upon arrival at the warehouse to verify compliance with company requirements and specifications

Competencies

  • Ability to drive forklifts
  • Handling stocks in warehouses
  • Counting and registering stocks
  • Perform routine administrative paperwork and input
  • SAP Material Management

Area and Years of Experience

  • Driving fork lifts, forklift driving license or certification with 2 years of experience
  • Physical work in warehousing or in a position with similar tasks with 2 years of experience

Education

National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation or relevant areas and equivalent working experience.
