Job Title:  Warehouse Store Supervisor

Job Summary

To oversee and manage all warehouse operations within the assigned zone, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, with a focus on medical supplies. The role involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing inventory management, and supervising warehouse staff.

Job Description

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of medical and other supplies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse environment.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control systems to track stock levels and movements.
  • Conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) guidelines for medical supplies.
  • Supervise, guide, and train warehouse staff to ensure high productivity and adherence to procedures.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide performance feedback to team members.
  • Foster a safe and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
  • Operate and oversee the use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in the warehouse.
  • Identify and address any potential hazards or risks in the work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders regarding warehouse operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational performance.

Skills & Job Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in warehouse management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management procedures, including handling medical supplies.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and stock monitoring.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with or understanding of GDP guidelines for medical supplies.
  • Skills to supervise and guide a team effectively.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and regulatory standards in medical warehouses.
  • Proficient in using computers and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve operational issues efficiently.
  • Willing to work extended hours, including weekends or emergencies.

Education

  • Minimum Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in warehouse management, inventory control, or forklift operation are an advantage.
