Job Summary
The Busines Analyst is responsible for facilitating improvements in Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) by assessing the healthcare business needs, analyzing the data, providing insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, patient care, and overall performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Data Analysis
- Analyze healthcare data sets, electronic health records (HER) and claims data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive decision-making and process improvement.
Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, administrators, and other stakeholders, to gather and document business requirements for healthcare related system and process enhancement.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in healthcare workflow and processes, proposing and implementing improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
System Evaluation
- Evaluate healthcare software and system for effectiveness, usability, and alignment with organizational goals. Recommend and implement changes or new technology solutions as needed.
Reporting and Dashboards
- Create reports, dashboards, and data visualization to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to management and stakeholder.
- Provide regular updates to management on performance metrics highlighting areas of success and area needing improvement.
Project Management
- Manage projects related to system implementations, upgrades, or process changes, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Training and Support
- Provide training and support to end-users on new systems or processes, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing usability.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or any related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a business analyst with strong analytical problem solving experience in a dynamic business setting.
Key Attributes
- Proficient in data analytic tools and software (e.g. SQL, Excel, Tableu or BI Tools) is required.
- Knowledge of healthcare terminology, regulations and industry trends.
- Prepare detailed business plans to support decision-making.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate findings and solutions to key stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, which also includes to engage with various departments.
