Muara Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (“MMS”) is a joint venture company responsible for providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services (MRO) to Royal Brunei Navy (“RBN”) vessels and dockyard infrastructure. We are looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified Bruneian professionals to fill the following positions:
Job Summary
Manage the CM, PM backlog, and project tasks while leading the team in the vessel project. Coordinate with the Senior Engineer and Head of Workshop to address any shortfalls in tools and materials related to the ongoing project, ensuring that the load capacity and timeline align with the project requirements and estimations.
Job Description
- Provide expert support in accountancy-related tasks, ensuring high-quality work with cost-effective solutions. Take a lead role in developing and implementing task resolutions, fostering collaboration and respect among colleagues across different departments.
- Identify and inspect defects in the outcomes, promptly highlighting these to the Senior Engineer and H.O.S with clear technical explanations. Ensure that technical specifications for materials, tools, and facilities meet required standards and are fit for purpose.
- Adhere to all applicable rules and regulations, maintaining health and safety procedures during task execution. Make timely technical decisions to support organizational needs and propose improvements accordingly.
- Actively participate as part of committees to ensure organizational integrity and contribute to establishing standards. Mentor and develop Grade 7 personnel to enhance their skills and facilitate technology transfer.
- Take responsibility for overseeing workloads in the absence of the Senior Engineer and H.O.S., ensuring responsiveness and attendance at meetings to deliver effective results. Maintain machinery in optimal condition and utilize the ERP system to manage material requisitions, shortages, and backlog clearance via CM and PM systems.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement Industrial skills qualifications (ISQ) or Ntec in Basic Building Craft.
- Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in carpentry.
- Conversant with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
- Have working knowledge of ships constructions and ship maintenance repair.
- Very good knowledge carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Must be Citizen or Permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam.
