Job Description
- Understanding and applying the system processes of ED or IT as and when required or applicable in accordance with standards and project requirements.
- Participate consistently in IT infrastructure and operations (ITIO) or Engineering Business System (EBS) projects with due diligence as and when required or applicable.
- Coordinate and assist in reviewing, preparing, updating or developing user guides and all Technical Standard Operating Procedures of ITIO or EBS Projects as and when required or applicable in ensuring the support and services of operations can be provided or controlled effectively and efficiently.
- Interaction and coordination with internal or external customers or selected system/software provider(s) in relation to system specification requirements or application bugs.
- Acceptance to solving software, IT equipment of ITIO or EBS related issues as and when required or delegated by ITIM.
- Coordinate and assist in sourcing and initiating all the related EBS training courses or projects in ED and ensuring day to day business continuity in all matters relating to ED or IT systems.
- Assist to support the strategic use of AMOS, SKYWISE, e-Enabling of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) such as Airbus, Boeing, and etcetera in terms of effective and efficient use to deliver best operational results and return on investment.
- Assist in timely provision of guidance or supervision regarding operational requirements or business processes or policies or IT related issues to stakeholders as and when required or instructed by ITIM.
- Attending to, identifying and fixing any related users’ IT access or ad-hoc problems related to EBS application(s) and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Ability to absorb extra or ad-hoc duties within capacities as requested by ITIM.
- Assist in tracking the renewal of IT contracts and subscriptions, online purchases inclusive.
- Conform to IT Governance Policies and Procedures when performing duties at all times.
Job Summary
- Assisting, administering and executing the overall support and implementation of all IT-related hardware, software, network and databases used by Engineering Department (ED) or Information Technology Department (IT) with apportioned capacity from IT Infrastructure Manager (ITIM).
- Fulfil IT support and services on ‘knowledge-skills-attitude’ and operational requirements for the personnel who are engaged in the use of all available business systems of the ED or IT.
- Accountable to respond to a second-level IT help desk tickets by providing support and services, resolving user’s issues, and resolving any ongoing problems or issues speedily.
- Competent in planning, administering, and executing the support and implementation of IT hardware, software and databases used by the ED or IT in the most efficient, cautious, and cost-conscious approaches for the company, entrusted by ITIM.
Education
HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience and/or
Training
Server, Application, IT and OS Administration Certifications
