IT Lead
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, including supervising and coaching IT Associates.
- Formulate and implement IT strategies that support the company's operational efficiency and long-term business objectives.
- Act as the primary IT point-of-contact and partner with the leadership team to align technology roadmap with overall business priorities.
- Engage with business users regularly to understand current and future operational needs, proposing and prioritizing relevant IT projects and initiatives accordingly.
- Assess, recommend, and implement scalable IT solutions that align with the company’s growth plans and overall goals.
- IT Operations and Support
- Oversee day-to-day IT support across all store locations and Restaurant Support Centre (RSC).
- Ensure timely resolution of escalated technical issues from stores and RSC staff.
- Monitor system performance and proactively prevent disruptions to business operations.
- Establish and manage a robust after-hours support framework, including on-call rotations, escalation protocols, and rapid response procedures to ensure critical IT issues are addressed promptly outside of standard business hours.
- Systems Management
- Manage and maintain POS systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), accounting software, email systems, and other business applications.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure software updates, data integrity and system compatibility across platforms are regularly maintained.
- Manage cloud-based collaboration platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365 and any approved reputable platforms).
- Network & Infrastructure
- Oversee all networking infrastructure including Wi-Fi, routers, firewalls, and VPN access.
- Ensure reliable, secure network connectivity across all stores and the RSC.
- Ensure cybersecurity practices are enforced.
- Plan for network scalability and redundancy to support business expansion.
- Project Management
- Lead IT-related projects such as store openings, technology rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop project timelines, resource requirements, and deployment plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure successful execution.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and hardware/software suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure vendor compliance.
- Liaise with internal teams to align technological solutions with operational needs.
- Training & Documentation
- Create SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and training materials for staff.
- Conduct training sessions for store and RSC teams on proper use of systems.
- Maintain up-to-date IT documentation and asset inventory.
The IT Lead is responsible for overseeing Makan Ceria Sdn Bhd’s technology infrastructure, systems, and support functions to ensure operational continuity and digital efficiency across all stores and the Restaurant Support Centre. This role involves the implementation and maintenance of POS systems, network infrastructure, cybersecurity measures, and business applications while providing timely support to both restaurant operations and Restaurant Support Centre teams. Additionally, the IT Lead will drive technological improvements, ensure data integrity and system reliability, manage IT vendors, and lead digital initiatives that support business growth, operational efficiency, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making.
