Job Title:  Assistant Nurse

Job Summary

The objective of an Assistant Nurse is to assist the Staff Nurse on the nursing care provided to those patients he/she has been assigned. Moreover to assist the physician and Staff Nurse to perform clinical procedures as required.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement patient care plan simultaneously with staff nurses.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with others to yield positive patient outcomes.
• Always behave in a professional manner and attitude.
• Collaborate with physician and multidisciplinary team members to implement care for each patient.
• Track and maintain medical supplies inventory along with other staff members by checking stock for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Professional Requirements

• Experience not necessary; but must have completed practical training during undergraduate studies where applicable.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting much preferred.

Educational Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited College
• Certificate in Assistant Nurse
