Job Title: Biomedical Technical Assistant (i-Ready)

Job Summary
- Provide assistant to Senior Bio-medical Technician/ Bio-medical Technician
- Mainly involves mechanical equipment including repairing patient table, patient bed, medical refrigerators, medical freezers, commode chairs, iv poles etc.. and repainting as required.
Principles Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in air sampling & water sampling for individual departments as required
- Assist in uv sterilisation as required
- Assist in repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Assist Conducting Device Incident Investigation
- Weekly, Bi-weekly or Monthly monitoring of medical equipment, where applicable, and maintain records
- Bi-weekly monitoring of Security Alarm system for medical refrigerators/ freezers, and maintain records
- Work with outside contractors on Bio-Medical equipment as assigned by Senior Bio-Medical Technician/ Bio-medical Technician
- Assist in arrangement of repair and maintenance work and schedules.
- Assist in Maintenance of Biomedical Workshop and Biomedical Store.
- Assist in Medical Equipment Condemn process - arrangement of used / condemned medical equipment in BME Store before discard.
- Assisting Departmental Senior Fire Evacuation Marshall on all activities related to that area.
- Assist 24/7 On-call Biomedical Service support in turns whenever required.
- Standby Support during Power Shutdown and Generator Load Test to take care of medical equipment.
Educational Requirements
- Certificate/Diploma in Biomedical Technology, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Foundational knowledge of electromechanical equipment, circuits, and safe operation of medical devices is a must
Specialised Skills/Knowledge/Attribute Requirement
- Has Strong time-management skills to track upcoming safety check schedules and organize technical data
- Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods, as moving equipment throughout various facility wings is common.
- Must be able to always follow work safe ethic procedures.
- Able to work after office hours when is necessary.
