Jerudong Park Country Club Sdn Bhd is seeking qualified and dynamic individuals to join our growing family.

Unit/Section

Cook under Playground Department

Main Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with required ingredients and cooking equipment

• Prepare ingredients for cooking (e.g., chopping vegetables, cutting meat)

• Cook food using various methods and equipment (e.g., grilling, boiling, frying)

• Monitor food during cooking; stir or turn as needed

• Ensure appealing food presentation before serving

• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen environment

• Store all food and supplies properly and safely

• Inspect quality and freshness of ingredients regularly

• Monitor stock levels and place orders to avoid shortages

• Control food costs by accurately measuring and using ingredients per recipes

• Propose and introduce new menu items

• Ensure all stock is properly labeled and stored

• Train kitchen helpers in food preparation and cooking techniques

• Report directly to the Head Supervisor

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma is a plus

• Proven experience as a cook

• Skilled in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware

• Knowledge of various cooking methods (grilling, baking, boiling, frying, etc.)

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures

• Team player with excellent communication skills

• Well-organized and able to manage kitchen tasks efficiently

• Excellent physical condition and stamina

• Creative in developing new dishes, especially desserts and fast food

• Halal Supervisor certification (Sijil Penyelia Halal) is an advantage
