Job Title:  EVS Assistant

Job Summary

Provide administrative and operational support to HES Unit to ensure efficient services are provided.

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all clinics and inpatient ward meet linen requirements on daily basis.
  • Assists in developing efficient and fair rosters for HES staff and accommodate any emergent situation that may arise within the unit.
  • Inspect the linen storage stock to ensure inventory supply is sufficient and is available for daily operations.
  • Raise/ order on Purchase Requisition (PR) and Stock Requisition (SR) and conduct inventory checks for approved and necessary office supplies and HES related items.
  • Coordinate and organize schedules for random audit and inspections, meetings, and appointments with relevant department or parties – as and when required
  • Assists to compile any statistical data such as soiled linens, staff uniform, hazardous materials disposal etc
  • Compile and update monthly service level indicator to be submitted to Quality Assurance Department
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain an effective computerized and manual filing system for HES database and related documents including incoming and outgoing letters etc. Ensure data is computed accurately 
  • Maintain and monitor on HES unit related and existing documentations such as policies and procedures with details of revision date and amendments.

Professional Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in related field in a clinical/hospital-setting is desirable including in areas of Housekeeping, Laundry, Fabric and Tailoring.
  • Previous formal secretarial or clerical work experience is desirable.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma in any relevant field from an institute recognized by the Government of His Majesty is desirable.
  • Candidates who have equivalent qualifications through education and/or experience may be considered for assignment to this position.

Specialised Skills/Knowlegde/Attribute Requirements

  • Adept at negotiation, interpersonal communication and should be socially and culturally adept.
  • Must be fluent in oral and written English. Fluency in oral and written Malay and/or Chinese is also desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to adapt in multiple circumstances
  • Able to work independently and in a team, under various situations
