Job Title:  Air Cond Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within the healthcare facility. To ensure a safe, comfortable, and climate-controlled environment for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining strict compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment in hospitals.
• Ensure proper air circulation, filtration, and humidity control to maintain indoor air quality and prevent airborne infections.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to temperature control systems, ventilation equipment, and medical air and gas systems.
• Maintain and service critical systems such as HEPA filtration, negative/positive pressure rooms, and specialized climate control units.

Professional Requirements

• At least 10 years experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of hospital-specific HVAC systems, including air filtration, negative/positive pressure rooms, and refrigeration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair critical hospital ventilation and climate control systems.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and hospital HVAC regulations (ASHRAE 170, NFPA 99, Joint Commission, OSHA, and EPA guidelines) is an advantage.

Educational Requirements

• HVAC certification or diploma from a trade school or technical college (preferred).
• M01 Certified is an advantage.
• Training in healthcare HVAC systems and infection control protocols is preferred but not required.
• Experience with hospital-specific HVAC monitoring systems and BMS/BAS is a plus.
