Muara Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (“MMS”) is a joint venture company responsible for providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services (MRO) to Royal Brunei Navy (“RBN”) vessels and dockyard infrastructure. We are looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified Bruneian professionals to fill the following positions:
Job Summary
ICT Officer (Server Admin) is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of Muara Maritime Services (MMS)’s backend computer servers, ensuring they run efficiently and securely. This includes tasks like installing and configuring hardware and software, managing user accounts, monitoring performance, and implementing security measures. Ensure compliance to regulatory and authorized standards for overall operation is monitored. Key role in data backup and recovery and troubleshooting server-related issues.
Key Responisibilities
1 Installing, configuring, and maintaining both hardware and software systems, including servers, operating systems, and related software
2 Primary focal for supporting SQL Database and troubleshooting with ERP Developers.
3 Creating, managing, and deleting user accounts and permissions
4 Implementing and maintaining security protocols, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems, to protect servers and data from cyber threats.
5 Monitoring server performance metrics, such as CPU usage, memory utilization, and network traffic, and optimizing performance for efficiency.
6 Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
7 Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues related to servers.
8 Creating and maintaining documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
9 Monitoring server usage trends and planning for future resource needs to ensure scalability and optimal performance.
10 Leading the integration of various enterprise-level servers and systems.
11 Working with other ICT professionals and teams to implement and maintain ICT infrastructure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIRED
Qualifications
1. Higher National Diploma in Computer Science
2. Relevant Certification in Microsoft Solutions
3. Relevant Certification in IT Security
