Unit/Section

Little Kingdom Petting Zoo unit under Playground Department.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

• Assisting with the observation and feeding of animals under the guidance of senior staff.
• Helping ensure that animal enclosures are clean, safe and well-maintained.
• Monitoring animal behavior and promptly notifying senior staff of any unusual occurrences.
• Aiding in the creation of educational content for visitor presentations and outreach programs.
• Supporting the health and care of animals by following instructions from senior staff.
• Actively participating in team tasks and contributing to the daily upkeep of the facility.
• Gaining knowledge and experience in animal care and conservation while supporting senior staff.
• Assisting with maintaining records of animal activities and helping in basic data collection for research.
• Supporting senior staff in conducting tours and interacting with visitors to promote engagement.
• Assisting in mentoring/providing guidance where necessary to any new staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Animal Science or related field is generally required.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in related field.
