Job Summary
- Responsible to develop and maintain marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. To evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implementing marketing plan alterations as needed. Oversees marketing, public relations, advertising and promotional activities.
- Work as an integral part of the team to generate publicity for the business, provide comprehensive public relations effort to support and enhance marketing effort; and monitor publicity, evaluate and conduct research of attitudes or opinions of the hospital’s publics, minimize reputational loss to the Hospital, build the Hospital’s image and raise its profile at regional level.
- Accomplish business development activities by researching and developing marketing and public relations opportunities and plans; implementing marketing and public relations plans; managing staffs.
Principles Duties and Responsibilities
- Healthcare Marketing & Public Relations Strategy.
- Develop and implement a healthcare-focused marketing and public relations strategy aligned with JPMC’s business objectives, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, specialized medical services, and medical tourism.
- Oversee all healthcare marketing and public relations activities, ensuring effective promotion of JPMC’s advanced medical technology, internationally accredited healthcare services, and successful patient outcomes.
- Manage JPMC’s marketing and public relations budget, prioritizing health awareness campaigns, patient education initiatives, and outreach programs that highlight JPMC as a leading private healthcare provider in Brunei and the region.
- Identify and analyze potential strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including insurance providers, embassies, international patient referral networks, corporate wellness programs, and government health initiatives to enhance patient access and strengthen JPMC’s market position.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research, evaluating regional and international private hospitals, patient care expectations, digital healthcare trends, and medical tourism demands to refine JPMC’s marketing strategy and service offerings.
- Brand Management & Corporate Identity.
- Lead JPMC’s brand management and corporate identity efforts, ensuring a strong presence in the private healthcare and medical tourism sectors, while maintaining a competitive edge among regional and international healthcare providers.
- Oversee and maintain brand integrity by ensuring all marketing materials, websites, brochures, and digital platforms effectively communicate JPMC’s specialized medical expertise, internationally recognized standards, and patient-centered approach.
- Manage and enforce branding policies and standards, ensuring consistency in messaging, patient education materials, and visuals across all domestic and international marketing channels related to medical tourism and private healthcare services.
- Monitor and measure brand awareness within the global healthcare market, assessing the effectiveness of medical tourism campaigns, patient success stories, hospital accreditation achievements, and international outreach programs, making necessary adjustments to strengthen JPMC’s position as a trusted international healthcare provider.
Principles Duties and Responsibilities
- Public & Media Relations
- Act as JPMC’s key spokesperson, representing the hospital in health-related media engagements, medical conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international media outlets, including healthcare journalists, medical influencers, and digital health platforms, to ensure positive coverage of JPMC’s services and patient success stories.
- Prepare and distribute healthcare-focused press releases, media kits, and PR materials, ensuring accurate communication of JPMC’s clinical advancements, new medical services, and international collaborations.
- Handle crisis communications proactively, ensuring timely, transparent, and effective messaging to protect JPMC’s reputation and patient trust in the event of healthcare-related incidents or public concerns.
- Develop and implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies, supporting community health initiatives, disease awareness programs, and partnerships with government and NGOs for improved public health education.
- Healthcare Marketing Campaigns & Promotions
- Plan, coordinate, and execute targeted healthcare marketing campaigns, promoting JPMC’s specialized treatments, cutting-edge technology, and internationally trained medical specialists through digital, traditional, and experiential marketing.
- Manage patient lead generation campaigns, focusing on international patient acquisition, corporate health programs, and specialized service promotions, while continuously measuring and optimizing campaign performance.
- Plan and coordinate JPMC’s participation in international healthcare expos, trade shows, and medical tourism events, positioning JPMC as a preferred private healthcare provider for international patients.
- Develop high-quality, medically accurate marketing content, including health blogs, educational videos, patient testimonials, and interactive digital media, to engage both local and international audiences.
- Monitor and analyze campaign effectiveness, using data-driven insights to enhance patient engagement, increase service inquiries, and maximize return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives.
Professional Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in PR & Marketing or Sales is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in supervisory role is required.
- Previous experience of working in a Hospital/Healthcare institution is highly advantageous.
Educational Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in Business Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or any other related field from an institute recognized by the government of His Majesty is required.
- A postgraduate degree in Business Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or any other related field from an institute recognized by the government of His Majesty is desirable.
Specialised Skills/Knowledge/Attribute Requirement
- Understands customer segmentation, different market strategies & current trends in healthcare industries.
- Possess strong communication, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge in implementing media campaigns.
- Excellent written communication skills to support the delivery of various communications- in particular external news items and marketing opportunities.
- Able to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
- Able to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to details and maintain positive attitude.
- Digitally literate including knowledge of digital and social media tools and their application to PR & Marketing.
