Job Title:  Patient Ambassador

Job Summary

  • Provide oversight of first points of entry in the Hospital and is reponsible for identifying the need for varying types of service recovery and administretating such service when necessary.
  • Employ exeptional customer service skills to welcome all visitors, provide directions, and request assistance for visitors needing special assistance.

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service
  • Provides exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors, guests and associates. Proactively approach and greet guests to provide an exemplary first impression, treating all guests with dignity and respect. 
  • Facilitates service and communication between patient and hospital employees to provide efficient and accurate information or service flow.
  • Ascertain guests' needs, respond to patients' inquiries, concerns and feedback promptly, and with courtesy. 
  • Taking appropriate screening action or providing information, performing translation services for patients and clients where necessary.
  • Accompany patients and visitors to patient billing, Triage and Clinic locations including other auxiliary services.
  • Acts as patients advocate by investigating concerns and expediting registration, triage consultation. Appointments or admissions and other delays. 
  • Guide and advice Patient Visitation policies to all visitors, patients and carers.
  • Assists receptionists in administrering bills to patients, where necessary.

 

2. Customer Service Feedback Survey

  • Conduct patient and customer feedback survey, building relationship by engaging patient with authentic and personable conversations.
  • Collect Feedback of up to 70% of newly registered patients.

Professional Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in customer service, with strong cummunication and interpersonal skills, is required.

Educational Requirements

A minimum of Diploma level with credit in Malay and English subject is required.

Specialised Skills/Knowledge/Attribute RequirementLong Description

  • Knowledgeable and well-versed in Royal Protocol and Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB) Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to communicate in Bahasa Terasul is an added advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in Customer Service principles and practices.
