Job Summary

The Radiographer willl be involves in planning and executing radiological examinations to provide high-quality, safe, and competent patient care while minimizing radiation hazards

Principles Duties and Responsibilities

General Radiography
- Prepare rooms and patients for procedures, select proper technical factors (ALARA principle), and operate equipment according to protocol.

Specialized Imaging
- Perform mammography, O.P.G., portable examinations, and assist radiologists in specialized investigations or O.T. cases.

Patient Care
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding procedures, obtain relevant clinical histories, and practice strict infection control and sterile techniques.

Quality Assurance
- Inspect films for technical sufficiency, maintain clinical records, and ensure proper patient identification on all images.

Safety
- Strictly adhere to radiation protection standards, utilize protective barriers, and wear personal monitoring devices.

Professional Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of work experience in radiography

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Imaging or related field

Specialised Skills/Knowledge/Attribute Requirement

Up to date knowledge of radiation protection and basic resuscitation techniques.
Up to date with practices of infection control.
