Job Title:  Mechanic

Location:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and fabrication of farming machinery and equipment.

Ensures smooth and safe operation of all mechanical tools used in paddy farming, with minimal downtime throughout the farming cycle.

Reports To: Farming Operations Officer / Technician

Job Description

  • Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of tractors, ATVs, harvesters, and other field equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and identify mechanical faults in engines and equipment, and carry out appropriate repairs.

  • Perform fabrication work including welding and assembling parts, as required to support farming operations.

  • Support installation and adjustment of machinery before, during, and after paddy planting and harvesting activities.

  • Maintain records of servicing, repair history, and parts usage.

  • Monitor and ensure the proper storage, handling, and use of tools and mechanical parts.

  • Adhere to safety procedures during mechanical work and ensure equipment complies with safety standards.

  • Assist the operations team during busy periods or emergencies and perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
