Job Description
Lead and manage the Corporate Communication function to develop and deliver unified, consistent, and positive internal and external communications that promote and represent RB’s brand, corporate identity and strategic objectives.
Job Accountabilities
- Design and develop standards for communications success. Identify and capitalise on opportunities to promote and positively represent RB through internal and external communication.
- Develop and monitor communications metrics to assess reach and impact using insights to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance communications effectiveness.
- Public Relations – Lead corporate and public relations activities including media engagement, press releases, corporate materials and other communications content. Manage relationships with key media and PR agencies to ensure consistent and positive representation of the Company.
- Internal Communication – Advise and collaborate with management on internal communications and employee engagement initiatives to ensure priority messages are effectively communicated through platforms and channels
- External Communication – Oversee the planning and execution of external communications activities and corporate events, including but not limited to, project planning, event management, media coordination and content development
- Identify and develop innovative communication approaches to enhance internal and external awareness of key events, including product launches, corporate initiatives and events, community programmes.
- Partner with management to develop key messages, themes, tone, target audiences and communications channels, while providing advice in ensuring consistent and effective communications across the Company.
- Oversee the team’s workflow and collaboration to ensure effective and consistent delivery of communication activities
- Act as primary operational communications link to the Emergency Response Section during incidents and work with the Emergency Response Section to develop and maintain crisis communications and media response plans.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of communications primarily of media relations, internal communications, PR agency management, crisis communications and social media
- Highly skilled in writing, editing, designing and producing communication materials
- Experience in managing internal and external communications during major incidents and crisis situations
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrated experience in leading large-scale projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Qualification and Experience
- At least minimum 8 to 10 years’ experience in PR agency/media/journalism/event management experience is required.
- Airline experience and working in a dynamic and fast changing environment are advantageous.
