Job Summary
Responsible for supporting the effective management of the Company’s inventory and logistics operations, including inventory control, stores operations, warehouse activities, materials management, and logistics coordination. Provides technical guidance, shares operational knowledge and experience, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and performs senior-level inventory responsibilities to ensure effective inventory control and operational continuity.

 

Job Responsibilities
• Carry out daily inventory activities, including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, distribution, and control of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all inventory transactions are properly recorded in the inventory management system
• Conduct and support physical inventory counts, stock verification, reconciliation, and investigation of inventory discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain inventory documentation, reports, and records relating to inventory movements, stock status, and operational activities
• Ensure materials, spare parts, equipment, and consumables are properly received, identified, stored, safeguarded, and maintained in accordance with Company requirements
• Provide technical guidance on inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, and logistics practices
• Provide guidance on complex inventory matters and recommend improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Support inbound and outbound logistics activities, including shipping coordination and documentation preparation
• Liaise with logistics providers and relevant internal departments to ensure effective coordination of material movements
• Coach and mentor Inventory team members through knowledge sharing, practical guidance, and support in resolving operational issues
• Support team capability development through the sharing of knowledge, experience, and good operational practices
• Support audit requirements and compliance activities within the Inventory function
• Review inventory procedures, work practices, and operational controls and recommend improvements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, efficiency, and operational effectiveness
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders on inventory-related matters
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve inventory, warehouse, materials, and logistics issues
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to support operational continuity
• Carry out any other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements
• Recognised Diploma or equivalent qualification, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, materials management, or related activities
• Strong working knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse operations, materials management, logistics practices, and HSE requirements
• Experience in inventory management systems, inventory reconciliation, stock verification, and inventory documentation
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, coach team members, and support resolution of complex inventory and operational matters
• Good analytical, organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant inventory management systems
• Good command of English and Malay, both written and spoken
