PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide a positive sense of well-being to all guests through the provision of safe spa treatment services which exceed guest expectations
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. To provide spa treatments and services by
- Providing Balinese, back and shoulder, sports and Swedish massages to enhance wellbeing
- Delivering body scrubs and wraps in a effective, safe manner
- Conducting facials, manicures and pedicures to enhance beauty and appearance
- Delivering safe and technically effective treatments to enhance wellness
- Establishing contraindications and managing these in all treatments
- Providing a consistently efficient and hygienic service
- Verifying daily that all Spa equipment is safe and hygienic to use
- Maintaining professional confidentiality
- Being knowledgeable of up-to-date methods of delivering spa treatments
2. To deliver guest service in the public areas by
- Initiating greetings and fond farewells to all guests entering and passing the spa areas
- Engaging with and making guests feel welcome as individuals
- Handling all enquiries accurately, efficiently, courteously and patiently
- Being receptive to guest comments and complaints, responding with empathy and reporting these promptly
- Escorting guests to the facilities, anticipating and meeting their requirements
- Explaining the facilities and offering to make bookings for services
- Recognising returning guests and acknowledging them by name and their preferences
- Initiating verbal communication to support understanding
- Assisting in covering the lectern at the garage entrance when the GSAs are engaged elsewhere
- Knowing about the Hotel services and politely assisting with all general guest enquiries
- Gathering and recording guest preferences and accurately updating the guest profile

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
- Recognised qualification in Spa Therapy treatments or related field (Essential)
- Good standard of written and spoken English (Essential)
- Additional language skills such as Korean or Chinese would be an advantage (Desirable)
2. Experience
- Previous experience of working in a Spa in a luxury environment (Essential)
3. Physical requirements
- Physically capable of carrying out the duties of the post
- Flexible rostering to meet guest requirements 7 days per week, 365 days per year, including Public Holidays
4. Functional Knowledge
- Wide range knowledge of grooming and massage techniques (Desirable)
- Understanding of contraindications related to massage and spa therapies (Desirable)
- Knowledge of hygiene standards, health and safety protocols and policy
- Familiarity with Hotel emergency procedures, including fire safety and terror threat response
