Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

PURPOSE OF ROLE
To provide guest food and beverage service in the designated outlet, in compliance with LQA, HACCP, safety and the Halal regulations
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. To provide excellent food and beverage service, including
• Meeting every guest on arrival to restaurant and escorted to table with appropriate use of guests name
• Explaining the menu and restaurant offering
• Being knowledgeable about the menus, pricing and dietary restrictions/ allergens
• Providing timely, polite and accurate order taking, per LQA standards and offering off menu flexibility
• Accurately delivering guest requirements, with accompaniments according to LQA timings
• Engaging with the customer before, during and after service politely and respectfully
• Reporting any complaints or difficulties promptly
• Presenting accurate bills following the meal and ensuring the proper settlement
• Bidding all guests a fond farewell, as the leave the outlet, thanking and encouraging their return
2. Preparing equipment and the restaurant for service
• Cleaning and arranging operational equipment for all aspects of operation , including table laying
• Ensuring all the printed collateral are clean and correct, in accordance with the brand standards
• Cleaning and stacking stores, cupboards, drawers in good condition
• Collecting and sending linen and supplies and assisting with monthly stock counts
• Cleaning service doors, carpets, sanitising tables and buffet stations
• Maintaining clean and tidy waiters’ stations, prior to, throughout and after service; no unnecessary clutter
• Ensuring the restaurant equipment is maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness throughout service
• Monitoring and reporting any equipment that requires maintenance or restoration
• Ensuring breakages are minimised and reported when they occur
• Preparing the mis-en-place and restaurant for following days business to ensure next shift is set up to succeed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
• No formal education qualifications required
• Good standard of written and verbal English (Essential)
• Additional languages such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean or would be an advantage (Desirable)
2. Experience
• Previous experience of working in guest services (Preferred)
• Some experience in a similar position in a hotel (Preferred)
3. Physical requirements
• Physically fit to be able to carry out the duties of the post: carrying and lifting, walking and standing for long periods
• Shifts covering 24/7, over seven days per week, 365 days of the year including Public Holidays
